opposing argument

While there are multiple ways to prevent teen pregnancy and STD’s, only one way is for certain. Abstinence is the only way to not have thoughts about being pregnant or of having STD’s. Abstinence only sex education should be taught in schools across the US. As instructors preach about the other ways to possibly avoid STS’s and unwanted pregnancies, students may believe that it is okay to have premarital sex. If the students are only taught about abstinence they might fear intercourse as they lean the negative effects of it. As they are taught was around it they will believe it is okay to do with prevention methods such as a condom. However, the couple who maybe engaging in intercourse and using a condom will most likely still have sex when I condom is unavailable. It seems that once someone has sex once the number of times they engage in the act increases believing them each time to think it is alright. Sex education should taught in schools so premarital teens don’t start the act and perhaps feel guilty when undergoing the situation leaving them with not wanting to do it again.
